In its earlier pre-season friendly matches, PBAPP lost to Syarikat Air Melaka 1-2 and drew with ATM 4-4. It is traveling south today to meet Singapore's Tanjung Pagar FC across the causeway.
Manager Ir Jamil Mohd Noor explains to Bola Pantai Timur, " We have no import player as we are using quality local players. PBAPP is also helping to uplift the football standard in Penang." Coached by former T-Team and Perlis coach, Yunus Alif, some of the players are from Terengganu, Kelantan and Kuala Lumpur.

Apart from having its own team, as a state government-linked company (GLC), PBAPP is also a sponsor for Penang FA, another Penang team which has gained promotion to the Premier League. Penang FA has import players.
PBAPP head coach Yunus Alif says, "PBAPP has the potential but since we are just making the debut, we need time. Our target is for the middle position in the league. But we are also preparing for the FA Cup."
