Larkin incident in final investigation - informed sources

Kota Bharu: According to informed sources whom Bola Pantai Timur have spoken to, the controversial Larkin incident is now in the "final investigation stage".

" A report will be prepared for the disciplinary committee," says a source. In the FA Cup game at the stadium on 1 February, T-Team abandoned the game in the second half for safety reasons - after an alleged physical assault and verbal threat by a high-ranking JDT official and another person at the tunnel whilst the players were making their way to the dressing room.

It later became the subject of police reports by two T-Team Brazilian players and their Brazilian fitness coach.

Although the FAM competitions committee in its wisdom had awarded the game 3-0 to JDT, the alleged assault and threat, the subject of investigation and deliberation by the disciplinary committee has not been decided yet even though it has been three weeks since the incident took place. Separately the police is also investigating on the matter.

Meanwhile it was reported that the Brazilians concerned were contemplating taking their cases to AFC and FIFA.

In another development, FAM will have its congress in May to elect its new EXCO members.
