Meet Felda's new foreign signing

Kuala Terengganu: Zambian Australian Ndumba Setonga Makeche (pix) only played for about half an hour or less in Felda United's friendly match against basement Super league club, T-Team on Wednesday night here.
Ndumba used to score a hattrick against Felda
He was immediately substituted after receiving what appeared to be a slight injury. But Ndumba had already put Felda ahead 1-0 in the 11th minute. They won the friendly 3-1 with simple football, superior possession and ball control.

Head coach Irfan Bakti said after the game, " Felda will take him in the next transfer window to complete our foreign import quota." The Settlers currently have three import players - viz Edward Junior Wilson, Zah Rahan Krangar and Yaroslav Krushelnitskiy.

How Felda first met Ndumba itself was interesting.

They were on a pre-season tour of Australia. In the friendly match against his old club, Perth Glory, Felda was trashed. Ndumba scored a hattrick. It so happened that Perth Glory slid in their Australian standing table after their former coach left. Ndumba apparently wanted to leave as well. A Malaysian agent subsequently helped to formalize the transfer.

Meanwhile Felda have another friendly against Hanelang FC at 4.45pm today.
