T-Team withdraw for safety reason - manager

Johor Bahru: In an unprecedented move following a supposedly bizarre incident, T-Team withdrew from playing in the second half against JDT at Larkin stadium tonight.

"Life is at stake. For the safety of players, officials and supporters, we decided to withdraw, " T-Team manager-cum-CEO Abd Rasid Jusoh he informed Bola Pantai Timur after the team had left the stadium about 10.25 pm. It is understood that it was made after conferring with the match commissioner and JDT representatives.

It was apparently triggered by an unruly incident, believed to be when the players and officials were making their way to the dressing room at the end of the first half.

Rasid says,"Our players and officials were beaten." According to another T-Team official, one of the victims was a T-Team striker who was punched.

The first half score of this second round FA Cup match was JDT 2 and T-Team 1.
