Tricky encounter for defending champions

Selayang: Favourite and defending champions Kelantan face a tricky encounter in their second leg quarter final game here tonight.

Last week, the east coast team edged PKNS 3-2 in their first leg home match. A draw tonight would be enough for them.

PKNS, the sole surviving Selangor representative in the competition admit that TRW are a great team.

The club's coach, Wan Jamak Wan Hassan says, "We are more of an underdog. Kelantan are a highly-rated team. However I have told our players to be ready and be patient." Injured Patrick Wleh and suspended Nazmi Faiz Mansor are back to strengthen PKNS. He adds, " We have to ensure that Kelantan cannot score. Getting just a goal will then see us through."

Wan Jamak: PKNS an underdog
Others see a good and an interesting match.

T-Team coach, Mohd Azraai Khor Abdullah, whose club side lost 0-3 to TRW last Saturday says, "Both sides have their own strengths. It depends on how they play out their respective game plans. But the advantage is always to the home team."

However he feels that it is risky to just depend on a goal.

"Kelantan cannot play all the import strikers in one go. Since PKNS have a strength in its twin strikers, they should not limit their target to a narrow confine."
