Terengganu to lodge complaint to FAM

Denied of their chances to qualify to the FA Cup Finals after beating Lions XII 3-2 at home last night, Terengganu will make an official complaint to FAM.

Lions XII go through on superior away goals rule as they defeated Terengganu 2-1 in the first leg.

The target of complaint is referee  Mohd Amirul Izwan Yaacob who had disallowed a Nordin Alias' header in the dying minutes of regulation time.

Early this morning, Dato' Rozi Mamat, state chairman of Youth, Sport & Human Resources told Bola Pantai Timur, " We have to lodge a complaint. Based on our video, to me the referee was the source which had resulted in very bad consequences." He also claimed that the man in black had already earlier pointed to the spot allowing the goal.

Terengganu FA (PBSNT) President, Dato' Wan Ahmad Nizam Hamid subsequently confirmed that the association would make the case against the referee to FAM.

Some Terengganu fans had gone on rampage in venting their frustration after the game at the newly rehabilitated Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium in Kuala Nerus.
