Pahang to decide on its 2014 position - Team official

Kuantan: Newly-crowned Malaysia Cup champion, Pahang, is still enjoying a well-deserved break after defeating favourite Kelantan by a solitary goal in the final.

A team official tells BolaPantaiTimur Pahang's position for the next season will thus only be finalised at a meeting, which is expected to be held in "a week or two." 

Under the leadership of Pahang FA (PBNP) President, Tengku Muda Tengku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ahmad Shah and coach Dollah Salleh, Pahang has been building its team around the Shahzan Muda FC project players. Several Pahang players - Mohd Azamuddin Akil, R. Gopinathan, R. Surendren, Mohd Khairul Azhan Khalid, Mohd Shahrizan Salleh, Mohd Hafiz Kamal and Mohd Fauzi Roslan were the products of Shahzan Muda.

The Malaysia Cup champion, which was relegated to the Premier League in 2011 (for the 2012 season) but was promoted again to the Super League this year, was also beefed up by the presence of experienced local imports, Mohd Amirulhadi Zainal and Razman Roslan (both from Selangor) as well as influential imports – centreback Damion Stewart and striker Matias Conti.
