Two east coast teams in Proton Kings' Gold Cup Quarter Finals

Kuala Terengganu: Pahang and Terengganu are the remaining east coast teams in this year's Proton Kings' Gold Cup quarter-finals which begin today.

Group C champion, Terengganu, takes on Singapore, Group D runner-up, in Kuala Terengganu while Pahang, Group C runner-up plays against Kedah , Group D's champion, in Alor Star.

Terengganu manager, Nor Zaidi Mohamed informs BolaPantaiTimur that his team is hopeful for a win at home tonight before both team are due to meet again in Singapore on 23 November.

Nor Zaidi adds, " Our team comprises mainly young players. Three are from last year's squad. The rest primarily come from this year's President Cuppers and previous Terengganu President Cup players. So our players are generally 25 years of age and below including nine under-21 players." Unlike Terengganu though, he was made to understand that Singapore's players are relatively more mature - between 27-28 years old. Terengganu is being coached by Mustapha Kamal Wahab.

The last time Terengganu and Pahang emerged as Kings' Gold Cup champion was in 2000 and 2011 respectively. Meanwhile Kelantan, which won the Cup four times in the last ten years, are already out of this year's edition.
