TRW to lay proposed league privatisation's foundation

Kota Bharu: Amid various pre-season issues such as the departure of hugely successful coach, Bojan Hodak, and several key players, The Red Warriors (TRW)'s Adviser, Tan Sri Annuar Musa today says the team's mission for 2014 is to develop its foundation for the proposed privatisation of Malaysia League in 2015.
In a statement to BolaPantaiTimur, Annuar says, " We shall give priority to the development of young talent," adding, "The Head Coach will be asked to improve on technique and not to continue with ala Harimau Malaya pattern."
He explains The Kelate (Kelantan) Way shall comprise seven criteria. Almost 80% of local players shall be Kelantanese (either by birth, parentage or marriage). More than half of the team shall be below 24 years of age. No more players who are above 30 years old, with the exception of  special performance, subject to a maximum of three players.
Meanwhile import players must be national players or former national players in their home countries. At least twenty per cent of players must be from the team's own back-up squad. The majority of players are required to sign a minimum of two years' contract. The last criterion is they must make a pledge to uphold TRW's tradition and spirit both on- and off-field.
In a related development, Englishman Steve Darby signed a two-year contract with TRW, replacing Bojan Hodak.
