Good game despite loss to Kedah - Azraai

Alor Star: T-Team head coach Mohd Azraai Khor Abdullah says overall Titans had a good game last night at Stadium Darul Aman despite losing 0 - 1 through a penalty.

The former Kedah head coach (2004-2009) adds, " The penalty was normal as it was decided by the man-in-black." Billy Mehmet converted from the penalty spot for Kedah.

T-Team's Evaldo Rodrigues was substituted by Patrich Wanggai following a calf muscle pull.

Club CEO-cum-manager Abdul Rasid Jusoh says," The understanding among our players has improved. It was just that they played cautiously to prevent injuries, red card etc as the new season will start soon."

In spite of the victory, Kedah manager  Dato' Jeffrey Low Hang Chow is not too pleased with the team's performance.

He shares his thoughts with Bola Pantai Timur, "Kedah still has to improve, especially on finishing. I am very happy with the local players. However one or two of our import players have to buck up." Jeffrey says the team's defence looks all right but the attacking department has to work on creating better chances and its finishing.

Indeed for Kedah, the team is still trying out its players.

An official tells Bola Pantai Timur, "Our head coach is trying new tactic and putting players at different positions while identifying weaknesses in the team. From the friendlies so far, we still have to work on our finishing." In its previous friendly games, Kedah won over Kelantan 3-0, lost to Penang 0 - 1 and drew with Songkhla United 1 - 1.

He adds that Kedah hopes the players will forge a sound understanding among them as soon as possible. The team's new players are mostly between 18 - 19 years old (ex- Harimau Muda). They are supported by experienced players whose average age is about 26 and import players, whose average age is about 30.
