Kangar: The weather in Kangar was good. After four straight wins in its previous four pre-season friendlies, the Northern Lions drew 1-1 with T-Team here last night.
Speaking to Bola Pantai Timur before the match, Perlis head coach-cum-manager, Reduan Abdullah said, " While winning is good for the players' morale as it will boost their confidence, result is not important. We want to firm up our pattern of play, rehabilitate a few positions, draw up contingencies, vary our approaches and improve on our weaknesses."
He believes that all teams are using their pre-season friendlies to test players and tactics.
Reduan, who was in charge of development for Kuala Lumpur in 2012/13 season, adds, " Every game is different. Whether we win or lose, we will have to re-evaluate our strengths and weaknesses."
In their earlier friendlies, Perlis won over Sg Ara FC twice (2-0 and 4-0) and defeated both KL (2-1) and Harimau B (1-0).
Mohd Marzuki Yusof scored for T-Team from a free kick.
