Overall it was deemed to be a good game.
However Turtles still need specific training to rectify weaknesses which have been identified during the tour. For the record, Vincent Bikana, Mario Karlovic and Zubir Azmi (who was with the Malaysian team at the recent Myanmar SEA Games) are not with the team in Indonesia.
Before the team's departure, head coach Hj Abdul Rahman Ibrahim told Bola Pantai Timur the tour would be an international exposure for the team and an exercise for a better understanding between the local and import players.
Now that many Terengganu-born players have come back, he is cautious since there seems to be a flawed logic that success in the new season will somehow be automatic.
He said, " Every successful team needs contribution from others too. I want the local players to open up their minds and not just be contented with being "stars" at home. We cannot take things for granted." Abdul Rahman is also wary of other clubs' capabilities, especially the big-budget teams.
