FAM team inspects SSINS tonight

Kuala Terengganu: Terengganu team manager, Marzuki Sulong, informs Bola Pantai Timur here a short while ago that the Football Association Malaysia (FAM) team is in town to inspect the 20,000-capacity Stadium Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah (SSINS) tonight.

Originally an event to introduce the players from both Turtles and Titans and the teams' sponsors was planned to be held at the stadium tonight followed by a final pre-season friendly between the two Terengganu-based clubs. However the programme has been postponed to 14 January instead.

SSINS is the home venue for both Turtles and Titans.

Since it is monsoon season now, Terengganu had to move out to make sure the stadium conform's with FAM's technical requirements. Although the fields are available at the Gong Badak Sport complex for both Turtles and Titans to train, sometimes it is not always convenient when two teams have to share the same stadium.

Marzuki says, "We have written to the state government requesting that the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium to be rectified as quickly as possible."  The stadium has 50,000 capacity.
