| Mubin Mokhtar: Braganca to boost PDRM midfield |
PDRM manager, Abdul Mubin Mokhtar, tells BolaPantaiTimur, " We need people like him for our midfield." Braganca who was recently dropped from being signed up by Terengganu at the last minute in favour of Issey Nakajima-Farran, replaces PDRM defence, Nigerian John Onorionde Kughegbe. He modestly adds," We are just a club (not a full state) team. Whoever others do not want, we take and give them a chance." He also says the club's budget is much less than deeper-pocket teams.
Asked about his import players, Mubin says so far they have contributed to the team. Whilst PDRM management does not give any specific target for the club, he says it is not easy even to be among the top 3 in the Super League.
Turning to tonight's game, as an ex-player and the host, PDRM do not want a defeat. He says, " I would say chances are 50-50. However any slightest mistake will be penalised." He also pays tribute to veteran Terengganu coach, Abdul Rahman Ibrahim. He says, " He was a coach when I was at school, when I played football and when I quit the game. He is still a coach when I joined management. In my view he obviously knows intimately the ups and downs of football. "
Still, footbal watchers note that PDRM under younger rising coach, Azman Adnan, are no easy meat and their import players have been doing quite well. According to Mubin, the emphasis at PDRM is family atmosphere and esprit de corps. He says " The players play for reputation, not for money."
