Three East Cost (Pantai Timur) teams have done Malaysia proud by advancing to the 2015 FA Cup semi-finals. At least one slot in the final countdown is already assured for either Pahang or Kelantan.
While it is a continued testimony of great recent achievements, the question is when the chips are down, will it be an all East Coast Cup final?
Terengganu will square off with Lions XII while Kelantan will take on defending champions Pahang in the semi-finals. In the quarter finals which were concluded last night, Pahang advanced after beating Pulau Pinang 4-2 on aggregate while Lions XII qualified after trashing JDT II 4-0 on aggregate. Earlier on Tuesday night Terengganu and Kelantan respectively made the cut after eliminating Perak 3-1 and Sime Darby 4-1 on aggregate.
For the record, Pahang were the FA Cup champions in 2014 and 2013, Kelantan were the 2012 champions and Terengganu were the 2011 champions.
